At Florence Animal Hospital, we recognize that pets come in all shapes, sizes and species. Not everyone chooses a traditional dog or cat to share their lives with. Many people prefer their companions to be more on the exotic side.
Caring for these special creatures requires a unique level of skill that not every veterinarian has. Whether your pet is covered in fur or quills, can crawl, jump or dance, if they’re special to you, they’re special to us!

The majority of our patients are dogs and cats; however, we do see other pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, sugar gliders, chinchillas, reptiles, amphibians & reptiles and non-venomous snakes.

However, please understand if we do not feel equipped to seeing your particular species we may refer you to a different facility that can better offer the appropriate care. But we welcome you to first contact us about your exotic pet.
Your First Visit?
The first visit will allow us to get to know each other better, and check your pet's health and start preventive care to prevent against future illnesses.

During your pet's first visit, your veterinarian will also do a head-to-tail exam & check your pets overall health.
