In-House Diagnostics
Routine physical exams can tell us a lot about what’s happening with your pet's health, but there are many things that can be overlooked unless we take a more in-depth approach.  That’s where our Veterinary Diagnostic Services come in, whether we need to evaluate the state of your pet’s blood, bones, or internal organs, our in-house diagnostic team at Florence Animal Hospital  gives you the capability to help your pet.  If your pet has a serious illness or injury, it’s essential that we make the most accurate diagnosis so we can properly treat their condition.
We can utilize our in-house diagnostic equipment to not only diagnose illness and injury, but as a pre-surgical safety measure to make sure your dog or cat can properly metabolize anesthesia.  Only with laboratory testing can we be sure that your dog and cat’s internal systems are functioning correctly.
In-House Diagnostics by Florence Animal Hospital
Screening & Prevention by Dr. Kenzo Tochiki
As humans, when we are sick, we have the ability to go to the doctor, to explain what’s wrong and to receive the appropriate treatment.

When our animals become ill, or have suffered an injury, however, it’s much more challenging to figure out what’s wrong.

Because pets can’t speak, they can’t tell us what’s bothering them, where it hurts or what their symptoms are.

Diagnostic tools allow our experienced doctors get a glimpse below the surface of the skin and learn exactly what’s happening inside your pet’s body so we can quickly and accurately diagnose and treat whatever is ailing them, improving the chances of a positive outcome.
Our in-house Diagnostics and Laboratory Services allows our doctors to get the results they need, exactly when those results are needed.

In many cases, we can have answers for you before you and your pet even leave our Florence office.

Our in-house lab testing capability includes fecal analysis, urine analysis, heart-worm testing, tick borne disease screening, feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus testing, parvovirus testing, complete blood count, electrolytes, and more;
